The Singleborough Honey Company Ltd

Spring diary – 2026
The bees all survived the winter! No colonies lost despite the endless rain! Phew! Huge relief especially as so many of my friends in the beekeeping world have not been so lucky!
The warm and dry weather in April have given all the bees a strong start! I spent the first couple of weeks adding extra space to all the hives as the bees were rapidly filling them. Just as I thought they all had enough room I was amazed to see they had filled up even this extra space……I quickly added extra layers! No bees swarmed! Again I have been lucky especially when I hear of quite a lot of swarming colonies in the local area.
It will soon be time to start taking the honey from the hives…..I can’t wait to see what they have produced, especially as I have noticed them covering some local sycamore maple trees this year. Anyway, I will be listing all the different types on this site over the coming months as they are harvested.
